Year 6 Transition

A reminder our Transition Days are scheduled for Thursday 4th July 2024 and Friday 5th July 2024. In addition to this, we encourage you to attend our Transition Evening on Thursday 4th July 2024, 5.30pm – 7pm, where you will meet key members of staff and our uniform suppliers. SLT presentations will take place at 5.30pm and repeat at 6.15pm. Please be advised parking will be at a premium due to the General Election voting taking place on our site and we encourage families to walk where possible.

Mr Nelson, Head of Year 7, has now visited each of our feeder Primary Schools and has been very impressed by the level of enthusiasm to learn more about the College.

To confirm, all pupils will be expected to wear their Primary School uniform and bring a full range of equipment with them each day, a list of which can be found here. PE kit will only be required on Friday 5th July 2024.

Temporary bus passes will be sent to all our feeder schools for those in need of school transport and a selection of seating will be reserved to enable pupils to travel together as a year group.

During morning break, pupils will have the option to purchase a snack and drink, for which they will require a small amount of money. Prices vary from 30p to £1.50. During lunchtime, pupils will have the option to purchase a school meal deal priced at £2.70, which consists of a main meal and a drink or the option of a cake. Alternately, pupils are welcome to bring their own lunch and break snack with them. Please indicate here if you would like your child to purchase anything from the canteen. Pupils will leave their lessons early for both break and lunchtime to help them adjust to our systems.

The following link to our Pupil Handbook here should help to answer all other questions you may have and a copy of this will also be provided during the Transition Evening, along with various other documents you will be asked to complete.

The link below will also provide further guidance and support in relation to transition.
